 This
Tour combines the enigmatic funerary towers of Sillistani with the
beautiful islands of Amantani and Taquile at the sapphire-
blue Lake Titicaca. We stay at an islander's house and have
sufficient time to explore the beautiful surroundings and discover the
ancient habits of the ancestors, which the locals still practice. On the way back to Puno we
visit the famous floating reed islands of Uros.

General information
This tour can be done by anyone who is well
acclimatized since Lake Titicaca is at an altitude of 3800m. Because of
this altitude it can be freezing cold, especially at night, but during
daytime when the sun is shining it can be pleasantly warm. At these
altitudes and especially on the lake the UV rays of the sun are extremely
strong and sun protection is strongly recommended.
Food and accommodations are basic since they are provided by local families.

|
 Day 1. Lake Titicaca
In
the morning we visit the funeral towers "Chullpas"" of Sillistani, an enigmatic site overlooking
the serene Lago Uymari. We continue to Llachon on the
peninsula Capachica at Lake Titicaca. You will have time to
explore the lovely surroundings on mountain bike or on foot.
We stay with a family in this typical Lake
Titicaca village to get a taste of the local life.

 Day
2: Amantani- Island
In the morning you are free to enjoy this interesting
part of Lake Titicaca. By boat we continue to the Island
of Amantani where you will have the opportunity to walk and
discover this very peaceful island. From the sun temple we
watch a beautiful sunset over Titicaca. We stay with local families.

 Day
3: Taquile and Uros Islands
We
visit the folkloric island of Taquile, where people still wear
traditional dress and produce some of the best
Peruvian textiles. Afterwards we go on to Uros, the famous
floating Islands made of reed. In the afternoon we arrive back in Puno.
